Congratulations to Architect, Rocco Petitto! His futuristic rendering of the proposed Goodwin University Technical High School was selected for a Merit Award in the AIA Connecticut 2023 Drawing Awards.

The jury complimented Rocco’s rendering saying it “was an amazing use of digital tools and progression, along with pleasing tones and design”. Other jurors commented: “A dynamic rendering of a proposed project that mirrors many design elements of the represented building itself.  Just as there are clearly many layers in every direction within the building’s design, the bending of light and shifting of styles creates a sense that the drawing too is on the verge of becoming three-dimensional.” “This image has a clear, refreshing expression with a simple palette of elements and colors.  Nevertheless, it communicates the design concept with its dynamic forms and angles.”

Rocco, along with other award recipients, will be honored at the AIA CT Awards Gala later this year. We are super-proud of you Rocco, keep blazing the trail!!
