QA+M Architecture recently participated in the final public forum hosted by the Town of Trumbull to answer questions regarding the proposed Trumbull Senior / Community Center from the residents of the Town.
Principal Tom Arcari, AIA, and Associate Rocco Petitto, AIA, were in attendance to answer many questions about the project from the proposed facility features as well as addressing any concerns about the project from the community. The vision for this new community-focused facility is designed to meet the evolving needs of Trumbull’s growing senior population while also serving residents of all ages.
The proposed Trumbull Senior / Community Center is a mixed-use facility that emphasizes flexibility and adaptability. Multi-purpose rooms will accommodate a wide range of programs. From art and music to cooking and wellness, while dedicated spaces help prevent scheduling conflicts and allow for future program expansion. The design also incorporates expanded fitness and wellness areas, improved social service zones, and a dedicated space for the town’s lunch program.
Accessibility and safety are central to the design, with thoughtful circulation, ample parking, and energy-efficient systems that support long-term sustainability. By combining modern functionality with a community-first approach, the new center will enrich lives through health, independence, and connection.
