Quisenberry Arcari Malik has been selected as the designer for the St. John Towers renovation in downtown Stamford, Connecticut. The project includes the complete rehabilitation of two separate 17-story apartment towers with 120 units of residential housing in each tower. The buildings were built in 1969 and are currently occupied. All exterior and interior finishes will be replaced, along with building infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
“With this renovation project, we see an opportunity to enhance the visual impact of the St. John Towers while improving the facilities for the tenants,” says David Quisenberry, a firm Principal. “We feel that we could help create an optimistic solution for the cost-conscious residential towers while improving the facilities’ presence on the Stamford skyline.”
QA+M was awarded the project through the St. John Urban Development Corporation. The development will be funded through state and local financing, including the State of Connecticut Department of Housing and the Connection Housing Finance Authority.
