Willow Street Park
Environmental remediation and adaptive re-use of an old vehicle maintenance yard and filling station resulted in this brand new five-acre park offering amenities and entertainment for all ages. Willow Street Park’s features include: + pavilion with restrooms + recreation play field + playscape + interactive splash pad + basketball courts + bocce/shuffleboard courts + garden chess set + gaming areas The greatest challenge of this project was the identification and removal of thousands of cubic yards of hazardous, contaminated, and controlled materials, followed by site grading to accommodate the new park.
