Trumbull Senior / Community Center
With a projected increase in the Town’s senior population and an aging senior center in need of major upgrades, Trumbull selected QA+M Architecture to study and design a new mixed-use community center that will serve residents for decades to come. The proposed facility emphasizes flexibility with multi-purpose rooms that can adapt to a variety of programs such as art, music, and cooking classes, while dedicated areas prevent scheduling conflicts and allow for future program growth.

The design also prioritizes safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency, with expanded wellness and fitness spaces, improved social service areas, ample parking, and a dedicated lunch program space. By combining modern functionality with community-focused design, the new center will enrich the lives of older adults through health, wellness, independence, and connection, while also providing Trumbull residents of all ages with much-needed spaces for arts, education, recreation, culture, and civic activities.
