North Stonington Elementary School
QA+M Architecture conducted a facilities study for all of the schools in the North Stonington district and subsequently developed a master plan for the district based on educational space needs, short-term facility upgrades, and long-term educational program needs. QA+M Architecture was selected to move ahead with the final design.
More Information
The project included a 44,500-SF addition to Wheeler Middle/High School, demolition of part of the middle school, an addition of 3,000-SF to North Stonington Elementary School, and moving 6th grade students to the elementary school. The elementary school is a “renovate-as-new” project which received a 100% space standards waiver.
