Burteck, LLC
Plastic mold injection maker Burteck LLC contracted QA+M to design the conversion of an office space into a 40,300-SF manufacturing facility at 55 Griffin Road South in Bloomfield. This prime location near Bradley International Airport is triple the size of their existing Windsor facility and is designed to accommodate growth in their qualification and development programs, as well as molding machine turnkey solutions, for their growing customer base. The design includes private office suites, large scale conference rooms, a laboratory, molding department, shipping office, loading docks and a vast manufacturing shop floor. An industrial look and feel with comes through use of concrete, metal, and wood elements in the office suites and common areas. The shop floor has a bright white finish (standard for this type of space) and includes necessary safety tape and mechanical equipment. This space maximized the size of the building and allows for the company’s future growth
