A brand-new middle school is under construction on the site of the existing Northeast Middle School in Bristol, CT, with occupancy anticipated in 2026. As part of the City’s redistricting plan, the new facility will accommodate up to 748 students in grades 6 through 8.
The design features a three-story academic wing that will support eight instructional teams, and a two-story specialty academic wing dedicated to Art, Music, and Technology labs. A double-height entry and central “main street” will connect both wings and provide access to shared spaces, including the Gymnasium, Media Center, and Cafetorium.
Construction recently reached a significant milestone with a beam signing ceremony yesterday, marking progress in the steel erection phase of construction.
