QA+M Architecture is proud to announce the promotion of Mike Lane, AIA, LEED Green Associate, to Associate Principal. This promotion reflects Mike’s sustained contributions to the firm, his leadership across a diverse range of project types, and his unwavering commitment to design excellence.
Since joining QA+M over 13 years ago, Mike has built a deep specialization in K-12 educational facilities, municipal projects, and housing developments. His approach to each project is rooted in the belief that architecture has the power to shape how people experience and connect to the world around them.
“My passion for architecture comes from the ability to design spaces of any scale and then see them come to life, shaping how people experience, interact with, and connect to the world around them,” Mike shares.
Mike’s work is guided by a commitment to thoughtful, efficient, and sustainable design solutions that respond to both community needs and long-term performance goals. His appreciation for a wide range of architectural styles, from historic preservation to contemporary design, brings a versatile and context-sensitive perspective to every project he leads.
Beyond design, Mike is a skilled collaborator and team leader, guiding multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction with a focus on clarity and design excellence. He is also deeply engaged in visualization tools and emerging technologies, leveraging them to enhance communication, streamline workflows, and push the boundaries of how architecture is conceived and delivered.
His interest in architecture began at a young age, inspired by a passion for single-family residential design, an early curiosity that continues to inform his human-centered approach to every project, regardless of scale or typology.
We are proud to celebrate this milestone with Mike and look forward to the continued impact he will have on our team, our clients, and the communities we serve.
