Ryan Varano is new to QA+M Architecture, he’s in his third year at Endicott College studying Architecture. Joshua Walters is a returning summer intern who will continue his third year at Savannah College of Art and Design as an Interior Design major.
We asked our interns to tell us why they chose architecture and/or interior design as a career path.
Ryan: “I have known since I was little, I was going to be in a creative career path. The creative side has always been in my family from builders to architects. What excites me about being an architect is that every project is unique. It’s rewarding to see the finished product and seeing the client’s vision come to life.”
Joshua: “I have always been a creative person, whether that be through art or dancing. When picking a career, I choose architecture as my outlet to express my creativity and showcase my ideas about how movement can be impacted by your surroundings. With my background in the creative arts, I am excited about designing spaces and controlling what movement is allowed in them. To broaden my skillset, I have also chosen to learn about interior design and how I can incorporate that into my architecture.”
